This portal was developed to analyze and understand the spread of infections across Indian states and the districts of Karnataka. At the state level, it provided real-time monitoring of the effective reproduction number (Rt), active cases, and an early warning system for each state. For Karnataka, the analysis was conducted at a more granular, district level, tracking deceased data, active cases, Rt, and offering a one-week prediction for these metrics alongside an early warning system for each district. The data were sourced from the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare (MOHFW) website and media bulletins regularly published by the Karnataka government. Since the data on these platforms were primarily available in PDF formats, which were challenging to extract automatically, the information was manually collected, collated, and transformed into accessible CSV files. These datasets are now available for public use.
